Done by Shane at Apocalyptic Tattoo in Archdale, NC. I had the main outline design down, but Shane filled in the heart with greater detail than what I could ever imagine. The phrase around the heart is “Such is life. Such is death. And I will listen.”
It was greatly influenced by the song “C’est la mort” by the Civil Wars. The “I will listen” is the part that was inspired by a handful wonderful friendships that saved me from the hardships I had to go through during my earlier years in life. I wanted myself and others to remember that life is a constant cycle of ups and downs and that there will always be at least one person out there who will listen. The cross-stitch in the center of the heart represents how God has played a major role in my life as well, being the single “stitch” that has kept me together for this long.
